SPOILERS FOR THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: SUMMER NEWMAN-ABBOT’S
Summer has expressed her extreme frustration with Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) lying and cheating to her grandma, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
She had previously hoped that her marriage could be fixed, but she has since accepted the fact that it cannot, and she told Grandma Nikki that she is prepared to move on.
Kyle and Summer don’t trust one another after Kyle jumped into bed with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) so quickly that it gave Summer a headache.
After the conflict between Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), the mother of Chance, and Summer’s mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), the two had grown close.
Chance and Sharon have advanced their relationship, but there are no promises and he recently took the broken Summer on a delightful picnic and roller coaster.
Spoilers for Y & R reveal that Sharon Rosales and Chance Chancellor grew close over Rey Rosales.
When it comes down to it, Sharon and Chance became close since Chance was their coworker on the GCPD and Rey Rosales, Sharon’s late husband, was Chance (Jordi Vilasuso).
Chance looked into the incident that murdered his partner, finished Rey’s open cases, and developed into Sharon’s rock in the process.
This occurred when he was still wed to Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway), but following their split, Sharon served as his rock until his divorce.
In the foreseeable future, Sharon’s main goal is to free SNA Media, the corporation Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) left for her, from the Newman machine.
With Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) engaging in shady dealings and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) supporting her, she’s been fighting to keep it to herself because it might give Summer a “in”.

As seen in the Fall previews, Summer is going after what she wants, which most likely entails Chance Chancellor. As Sharon is engaged with SNA and Nick, their relationship will only grow.
Due to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) business dealings with his family, it can also prompt Adam to scramble to win back Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) affection. Sally will be available for Adam if Nick and Sharon get together, and Chance will be available for Summer.
Chance could just be able to provide Summer the security she needs, and don’t be surprised if Summer is the one who steers Nick in Sharon’s direction. She now has an opportunity to meet opportunity.
