Fans of Home and Away have been catching up on “vintage episodes” on 7Plus in Australia owing to the summer hiatus of the program. Although the first fresh episodes of Summer Bay won’t air until January 9 of the following year, fans have been able to keep up with the show by going down memory lane.
Observant watchers have already noticed Kirsty Marillier, who now portrays Rose Delaney, as a guest character at Brodie Morgan and Ziggy Astoni’s wedding (Jackson Heywood and Sophie Dillman) in 2018. Another fan just offered a fascinating detail from a 2004 episode.
Since March 2000, Ada Nicodemou has played Leah Patterson, a favorite of the audience and one of the series’ most enduring characters.
Ada appeared slightly different while serving as a stand-in for Sally Fletcher (Kate Ritchie) and Flynn Saunders, as one observer noted in a Facebook group (Joel McIlroy).
“When Leah gave birth [to] baby Pippa (Sally and Flynn’s daughter), I never noticed and never knew Leah had braces on her teeth. Thought [only] teenagers/kids have braces on their teeth,” the viewer revealed.
“I started watching the soap in 2006 and didn’t see her with them on then.”
Other people pointed out that adults can get braces, and a number claimed they remembered it happening on the show.
“A lot of adults are getting braces. But I remember Ada/Leah having them. They usually have them on for two years depending how well it’s going,” one person pointed out.
“I think she had them for a while lol,” added a second.
“I remember when she had braces,” another wrote.
One fan expressed astonishment that Leah served as a surrogate, and another fan opted to think back on their favorite plotlines.
Wow, Leah was Flynn and Sally’s surrogate. A viewer said, “Aw I absolutely didn’t remember that lol.
“I was just observing the standoff in Ailsa’s cafe. Another person said, “The bad guy was Lucas [Fitzgerald], the garage owner from Neighbours.
