Next week on Coronation Street, Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) will be skating on extremely thin ice as the body of one of his murder victims is discovered.
Leo Thompkins is the victim in this situation. After learning about the businessman’s scheme to take all of Audrey’s (Sue Nicholls) money, Stephen killed him last September.
Stephen moved the body and buried it when Leo passed away.
One year later, Leo’s body will be discovered on the building site that Ed and Ronnie (Trevor Michael Georges and Vinta Morgan) recently purchased, putting Stephen at risk of having his secrets discovered.
After being enticed to gamble once more, Ed emerges and apologizes to Neil, the site manager, for his actions at the pub.
Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown), a solicitor, gets Ronnie to sign some paperwork while also pointing out that he’s taking a risk by beginning construction on the site before the sale is finalized.
Ronnie goes over to the construction site when he hears his brother chatting to Craig (Colson Smith).
Ronnie is terrified to see a dead body when he peeks inside the hole the digger excavated.
After his trip away with Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews), Stephen returns to work without realizing what is happening.
When Stephen learns that a body has been discovered on Ed and Ronnie’s construction site, his feeling of well-being quickly shifts.
When the builder says it was definitely a man’s body, Stephen’s heart sinks after pressing Ed for further details back at the pub.
Right on schedule, Craig immediately walks into the bar and tells Jenny that the body is Leo’s.
Is the game over for Stephen at this point, Jenny wonders in shock?
