Rena Sofer’s return to General Hospital as sassy fast-talking Brooklynite, Lois Cerullo, has reenergized the show’s mighty Quartermaine clan.

Rena Sofer: A Dynamic Entrance As Lois

Lois (Rena Sofer), forced to visit the family’s estate after Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) was dismissed from Deception, has had a positive impact on the “House of Q” since her arrival. Strong familial ties are strengthening, friendships are growing closer, and old rivalries are resurfacing. Her reappearance has given the soap opera new life.

Foes And Friends

Watching Lois and Tracy (Jane Elliot) interact on television has always been a must. The astute Tracy can’t compete with streetwise Lois, whose witty remarks frequently put her in her place. That’s why the two make such interesting foes.

Seeing the much-discussed bond between Lois and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) in real life has also been amazing. The two actresses are incredibly convincing as longtime friends who are thrilled to be reconnected. Furthermore, listening to their characters’ memories of their chaotic and wild upbringing is like taking a real-life trip down Memory Lane.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

The plot was also improved by Sofer and Setton’s quick bond. From the beginning, they were a genuine and credible mother-daughter duo. You could feel Brook Lynn’s love and respect for her mother right away, as well as Lois’s protectiveness of her. Additionally, viewers finally got to see whence Brook Lynn gets her fierce side.

Supercouple Past and Present

Finally, but just as magical, is seeing Sofer back on screen with her real-life ex-husband Wally Kurth (Ned). They were a soap opera supercouple in the past, and they returned to form without missing a beat. Additionally, the timing couldn’t have been better—Lois returned just as Ned was suffering from amnesia. It was ideal that Lois was the one to guide “Eddie” in the direction of regaining his memories and, eventually, bringing him and Olivia back together.
