The final episode of Neighbours will air on Channel 5 at primetime.

Originally scheduled to air on Monday, August 1, the show’s finale will now air in the UK on Friday, July 29.

The third-to-last Neighbours episode will air on that day at the customary 1.45 and 6 o’clock timeslots, according to Channel 5 executives.

The major climax will follow, airing as a double episode special at 9 o’clock that same evening.

In Australia, the Neighbours season finale has also been postponed.

The final episodes will be broadcast in a 90-minute block on Thursday, July 28 at 7.30 p.m. on Channel 10 and 10 Peach, according to the show’s home network Channel 10.

As a result, Australian viewers will be able to watch the finale before UK viewers.

All year long, Channel 5 has aired programmes before Australia, but 10 Peach has now started to catch up by airing double episodes.

“In what is set to be a gripping and emotional finale, fan favourites from the past will be returning to Ramsay Street to celebrate with our Erinsborough locals, in a send-off that will have something for everyone, spanning all generations and decades from the opening scene in 1985 to the final episode in 2022,” teased Channel 5 in a statement.

“Further announcements concerning extra surprises to send farewell the famous soap in style will be forthcoming in the upcoming weeks,” the statement continued.

With a week of post-watershed specials on Channel 5 for the 30th anniversary, Neighbours’ final primetime episode aired in 2020.
