Delta Goodrem, an Australian singer and actress who first played Nina Tucker on the soap opera when she was just 16 years old, has talked about maybe reprising the role.

Star of the Australian soap opera Neighbours Delta Goodrem has hinted at a possible return.

Last year, when Channel 5 decided to cease airing the programme, it was almost completely cancelled. However, an Amazon arrangement preserved it.

Delta, who portrayed Nina Tucker in the soap opera, came back for what was believed to be the show’s final episodes to give it a spectacular send-off. However, with its revival currently underway, we wondered if she may return once again.

Delta exclusively said on the tumultuous year for the show: “I was chatting to Holly Valance and I was like, ‘Oh, it’s coming back?’”

“That’s excellent because it’s clear that Australian TV will continue to feature Neighbours, a classic in and of itself.

“We had the big send-off; I believe my character Nina and I both said goodbye, but I wish it luck as it moves forward.

“I’m extremely delighted that they’ve found a new home. I suppose everyone went through following lockdown, Covid, resets, and finding new homes and where everything fits.

“Never say never, you know, I felt a lovely ribbon on it, but hey – who knows? I’m incredibly happy for the cast and crew. I got my start there, and I adore the idea that neighbours endure forever and ever.

At the age of 16, Delta, now 38, made her on-screen debut in the episode that aired on June 11, 2002.

Since then, she has been focusing more on her singing career with occasional film and TV appearances, such as serving as a judge on The Voice and currently filming the next movie Love is in the Air.

In preparation for her upcoming trip of the UK, Delta shared with us some of her closest connections there. Her friendship with Elton John was the main topic of conversation.

When she was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 18, she had her very first meeting with the legendary musician.

“I was so fortunate to have support from artists in the UK in my early days of me starting out in my career, whether we were doing Top of The Pops or when Elton John initially came out to me when I was first diagnosed with cancer or for my first song,” the former star of Neighbours added.

“Elton has such enormous impact when you’re first breaking into the world as an artist, and he’s so nice to the whole community. With artists, he has such true relationships.”

The gorgeous performer will appear in four distinct UK locations: Glasgow on April 5, London on April 30, Birmingham on May 2, and Manchester on May 3. Please click here for tickets and additional information.
