Milly Zero, who portrays Dotty on EastEnders, has vowed that viewers will be treated to a “jaw-dropping” episode this Christmas.

Rocky’s secret will be hanging in the air in this episode, maybe on the point of being revealed, and Dotty is terrified of what will happen to her if the truth is revealed.

In an interview with Inside Soap, Zero said: “It’s going to be a blast on Christmas Day! Nothing goes according to plan, but that’s to be expected from an EastEnders Christmas. It’s a jaw-dropping moment, and it’s a true cliffhanger.”

Zero couldn’t reveal any details regarding Dotty and Rocky’s strategy or whether they’ll eventually receive their comeuppance around Christmas, but there will be plenty of heated scenes between Dotty and Sonia in the near future.

Rocky will spend Christmas with Kathy and Sonia, but the clock is ticking on the truth about who he is — holding the secret is harming his health, but disclosing the truth will wreck everything for Rocky and Dotty, as well their respective relationships with Sonia.

Zero expressed his delight at being able to film so many scenes with Sonia’s actress Natalie Cassidy, saying: “Nat is fantastic at portraying a pure, sweet soul. ‘Oh God, I feel so horrible for poor Sonia!’ I think after the sequences we do together.”

Zero went on to say: “I’m really looking forward to the audience seeing that since I was really looking forward to reading those scripts. It’s an honor to be a part of the Christmas Day episode.”

“It was such a beautiful day when we shot the Christmas episode. We were all eating a great roast dinner when Natalie Cassidy arrived with a box of M&S snacks, after which we all headed to the pub. It was like a small Christmas party “Except for the fact that filming took place in October, there is nothing else to say.

Fans will have to wait less than a week to find out if Dotty and Rocky are really in jeopardy, and how it will affect the people of Walford.

EastEnders airs on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays on BBC One.
