In the most recent episode of Emmerdale on ITV, viewers saw two characters depart the village after Chloe Harris exacted the ultimate retribution on Mackenize Boyd and Charity Dingle.

Two Emmerdale cast members have left the community.

Drama has been abundant on the ITV soap opera lately, and this was evident in Thursday’s (November 23) hour-long episode as Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), with her infant son Reuben, left the village in spite of her sister Amy Wyatt’s (Natalie Ann Jamieson) entreaties.

Mack broke the news to Chloe earlier in the week, leaving her heartbroken, so he could spend more time with his wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins). After his decision, Chloe began to plot her retaliation. She told Amy that she would leave the village with Reuben, the son she shares with Mack, and ruin the couple’s happily ever after.

Amy made a valiant effort to persuade Chloe to stay and be with her family, but she was unsuccessful when she noticed Charity and Mack putting on a cozy show while Mack was taking care of their son. The only bad thing was that she couldn’t seem to locate Reuben’s passport.

But Sarah, Charity’s granddaughter, accidentally discovered it, and Chloe lied and said she had when Mack had suggested they leave before they broke up. Then, enraged by Mack’s treatment of Chloe, Sarah went to Moira’s to vent her anger. However, Mack hadn’t really suggested a vacation overseas for months before realizing what was truly going on.

He hurriedly left the house, circling around to knock on Chloe’s door as his child’s mother slipped out the back door with their son. But Amy held her up, pleading with her once more not to go. When Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb), Mack’s sister, arrived, Mack frantically attempted to stop her, saying, “I would never take him from you!”

In response, she said, “You abandoned us without giving it a second thought. You ought to have stayed away right away—you are not needed or wanted here! So please, for once in your life, act morally and let us go.” As soon as Mack attempted to open the car door to remove Reuben from his seat, a brawl broke out. Amy pulled Mack away, causing him to fall to the ground. After that, Chloe got into the car and drove off, leaving Mack to chase after her while yelling at her to stop but to no avail.

Fans of Emmerdale discussed Chloe and Reuben’s shocking exit on X, formerly known as Twitter, as the credits rolled. One person wrote: “Come on, Chloe, get your act together. Pack your bags and head out as soon as possible. Create a fresh start for both you and Reuben.” “Well done Chloe, hoped Amy was gonna finish him off,” said another. Someone else uttered the words “Go Chloe.”

But, Chloe’s manager Laura Shaw has revealed that she will ask her father, who is still unknown, for assistance during the Christmas season, suggesting that she will be going back to the village soon.

“We’ll see that reach a more of crescendo where Mackenzie pushes Chloe to her absolute limits and what we will see is her reach out to her father for help,” the producer hinted. “The Chloe, Charity, and Mackenzie love triangle has been bubbling away for 18 months or so.”

We already know from a previous plot point that Chloe’s father is a dangerous man who shouldn’t be trifled with, that he was very controlling of Chloe, and that people are afraid of him. We’ll see him supporting Chloe in his own special way when she gets in touch with him.

Will Mackenzie be able to use his words to get out of this one? We’ll have to wait and see; I’m not sure. The consequences of that will undoubtedly be felt well into the new year and beyond, in my opinion.”
