Home and Away’s Tane Parata is set to marry Felicity Newman in a few weeks and actor Ethan Browne showcased his other talent ahead of their dramatic soap wedding
Before of his soap opera wedding, Home and Away actor Ethan Browne demonstrated another knack, demonstrating that acting is not his only talent.
The 31-year-old, who has played the Channel 5 serial opera’s heartthrob Tane Parata since 2020, is getting ready to wed Felicity Newman in scenes that will run in the UK in a few weeks.
The New Zealander posted a drumming video to Instagram in advance of their soap opera wedding, which will undoubtedly be filled with turmoil.
At Carols in the Domain, an annual Australian Christmas event hosted in Sydney, the soap opera star was seated behind the drum set.
The post’s caption read: “Beautiful little whack on the equipment to end the year. Thankful for the chance to perform with my wonderful Home & Away Whnau. Many thanks to Graeme Press and Gordo Rytmeister for giving me the responsibility of maintaining the tempo for their fantastic orchestra.”
Many of the actor’s co-stars joined his friends and supporters in the comments section to show their support.
“Excellent Ethan,” exclaimed Penny McNamee, who played Tori Morgan from 2011 through 2021.
Actor Matt Evans wrote “My man” for Theo Poulos.
Nikau Parata, Ethan’s on-screen nephew, is portrayed by Kawakawa Fox-Reo, who also included two red hearts and clapping emojis.
Adam Rowland, who plays Remi Carter, said: “So damn good mate, smashed it!”
Since he was 13 years old, Ethan has been playing the drums and the guitar, and he frequently posts videos of his drumming sessions on Instagram.
On this week’s episode of the Australian soap opera, Felicity covertly collaborates with Nikau to translate her wedding vows into Te Reo Mori in order to respect her fiancé’s cultural background.
But when she sees the translation and realizes it will be considerably harder than she anticipated, her confidence wanes.
Both Ethan and his on-screen nephew Kawakawa have previously spoken about the importance of portraying Māori culture to viewers in Australia and were keen to incorporate as much of it as possible into the show.
