Lynne McGranger celebrated a major family milestone over the weekend – her daughter Clancy’s wedding!.
The actress from Home and Away proudly observed as her sole kid wed boyfriend Luke Dickson in a gorgeous wedding on August 26.
She had previously referred to Clancy’s method of wedding preparation as “really chilled,” and she had affirmed that everything had been “on track” in the run-up to the big day.
The 70-year-old Lynne acknowledged that she was surprised by Clancy’s announcement of her engagement and believed that she was “taking the mickey.”
Paul McWaters, her longtime companion, was already aware because Luke had requested his consent.
“I remember [Clancy] FaceTimed me and said, ‘So we’ve got a bit of news,’” Lynne recalled.
With a laugh, she added: “I thought she was pregnant, which I wouldn’t have minded.”
“Clancy saw the look on my face and went, ‘No mum, I’m not pregnant but…’ and she lifted up her finger with the engagement ring on it.”
