Georgie Parker, an actor from the iconic Australian soap opera Home and Away, has revealed the true reason behind her frequent pauses from the show.

After appearing in the renowned soap opera in 2010 and taking on the legendary character of Roo Stewart, the 59-year-old found herself in the spotlight. Her role is that of the daughter of Ray Meagher’s iconic Alf Stewart and Belinda Gibson’s portrayal of Martha.

Georgie frequently takes time off from the show to act in plays and pantomimes, despite having a significant role in it. The actress had previously opened up to Australia’s TV Week about how much she values having the freedom to pursue interests outside of her career.

She remarked candidly to Australia’s TV Week: “I don’t envy the writers who have to continually writing me out of the show so I can come and go, to do the plays and other tiny engagements here and there. I believe it’s critical that, at this point in my career, I get to investigate all of my possibilities for collaborating with the individuals I’ve worked with for 40 years. For this reason, I’m really appreciative that I can do both.”

“I think the writers did a great job giving Roo what he has. She’s lived a long life, and this year has been a lot of fun getting to know new personalities and interacting with them.” In the past, actor Ray Meagher performed in pantomimes in the UK. But he stopped taking it a few years ago, and he appears to be perfectly okay with his choice.
