Mali Hudson’s romance narrative has already seen an early setback, according to Home and Away.

The newbie made his or her debut on Australian television last month and will soon get close to Rose Delaney (via TV Week).

Mali will ask Rose out in the episodes that will air in Australia this week after becoming attracted to her right away.

She is taken aback by his quick offer, but accepts it after declaring that she shares his passion.

Sparks flare as they first meet in the evening and instantly click; they share a sweet kiss before parting ways.

The pleasantries are short-lived, though, as Mali is surprised to learn that Rose is a police officer after noticing her in a uniform. He then avoids her, putting an end to the spark that had been there.

Rose confronts Mali at the party they’re both attending and demands an explanation for why he started ignoring her. Will Mali admit it? And what exactly is it that he has against the law?

When Kyle Shilling was cast as Mali, he became the first Native actor to appear on the soap. He later said he wanted to introduce Mali’s family to Summer Bay and learn more about his cultural history.

I am eagerly anticipating the time when I will hopefully invite relatives, family members, and friends in. “[Hopefully] to celebrate something with Mali, a friend, or a family member using this incredibly lovely corroboree ceremony.

“I’m definitely looking forward to that. It should be advantageous, in my opinion. Mali is this upbeat individual that cherishes his family and culture, but negativity will always surround happiness. You cannot perform this type of work and not anticipate that.

When Mali arrives in Summer Bay in March, fans in the UK will first meet Shilling.
