Their blissful married life hits a roadblock.
The marriage of Tane Parata and Felicity Newman is under stress as a result of the entrance of Kahu, a newcomer to Summer Bay, according to Home and Away.
In Australia’s Channel 7 on Thursday, April 13, a new guest cast member named Jordi Webber debuted as Kahu Parata, Tane’s cousin.
Tane was leading a fitness class along the shore when Kahu abruptly appeared in the Bay.
Tane gave his cousin a hearty greeting and reminded him that Tane had graciously asked him to pay a visit whenever he wished.
He also felt at ease thanks to Felicity, who had previously met Kahu on a recent trip to New Zealand with Tane. She was quite disappointed that she and Tane had to change their daytime plans, though.
Felicity offered to show Kahu about the Bay the following morning, but there were signs of tension to come when he declined and said he would spend the day with his cousin instead.
Tane warned Kahu that he would be working and that she would find it boring, but Kahu didn’t care and swore to stick by him.
The issues worsen in the Australian episodes airing the following week as Felicity begins to resent Kahu’s presence at a time when she should be relishing her new marriage to Tane.
In an outburst, Felicity tells her brother Cash: “If it was for a little while, that would be great, but no. Tane has been requested for a job by Kahu.
Tane observes that Felicity is dissatisfied with Kahu commencing work at the gym, but he finds it difficult to get clarification from her as to what the issue is.
Cash says Tane would benefit from Kahu’s presence because he is obviously missing his nephew Nikau. Does this imply that Felicity will eventually have to make concessions?
In June, Channel 5 will air these moments for Home and Away viewers in the UK.
