General Hospital Spoilers spill Ava Jerome (Maura West) is about to become the prime suspect in Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder. Yes, Austin is on his way out — and there’s no news on whether Howarth will take on yet another role on the Port Charles sudser. For now, Austin is dead and Ava will appear to be the angriest person in his orbit.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) was so close to discovering the motherload of information Austin had to share with him. Unable to grant him immunity at the drop of a hat, Austin left the PCPD, and now he’s never to be seen alive again.

He undoubtedly had some adversaries in recent days, but if the PCPD only knows about Ava, she’s going to be in serious trouble because she believes that telling the truth will still implicate her as a means of diverting attention.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Was Furious with Austin

Upon discovering that Austin had been conspiring with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) all along, Ava was infuriated beyond measure. Nikolas Cassadine, Adam Huss’s real name, was known to him.

Instead of trying to solve the issue by going to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he chose to rely on his enduring allegiance to Cyrus. With the intention of never seeing him again, Ava sent him away, and as it happens, she was successful.

GH Spoilers Leak There are Three Probable Culprits

Cyrus might possibly be responsible for Austin’s demise. Though he might not have been the one to send him to meet his creator by plugging him in the chest, he could have given Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) the order to take his cousin out.

But Mason may have been resentful and chosen to act independently, taking care of Austin on his own. Austin went to the police, and whomever was watching him knew he wouldn’t make the same mistake twice. Naturally, Nikolas had the option to return to the city and look after Austin.

It’s possible that Nikolas finds it objectionable that the good doctor is having an affair with his ex-wife, but it might also benefit him if Ava is set up to kill Austin. Ultimately, the only way she can clear herself is by revealing the truth about how it all started—her coming dangerously close to killing Nikolas.

General Hospital Spoilers — The Truth Won’t Set Ava Free

Ava will have to give the police all Austin was dying to tell them if she hopes to avoid being the first suspect. Ava will have a fresh bullseye on her back if she places the blame on Cyrus.

She could, of course, ask Sonny to take care of the issue, but in terms of Austin’s murder, that won’t clear her. However, revealing the truth about Nikolas, Mason, and Cyrus could. All it will do is portray her as simultaneously guilty of two crimes. Make decisions, make decisions. To find out which one Ava chooses, check back for more GH news and spoilers.
