Since moving to the community, Caleb Miligan, a newcomer to Emmerdale, has ruffled some feathers, particularly those of his half-brother Cain Dingle.
Since Caleb Miligan (Will Ash) showed up just in time to assist Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in getting out of jail, Emmerdale viewers have grown suspicious of him. After Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn), the mechanic’s son, shot Al Chapman, the newcomer’s legal team is also assisting Kyle (Michael Wildman).
The two have frequently argued, and Cain has even threatened to kill his half-brother.
However, in the most recent episode, things took an unexpected turn when Cain extended an olive branch by inviting Caleb and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) to lunch.
It’s a shame Chas couldn’t make it, Caleb said as the brothers sat and shared a beer.
“If we all came together, we’d be a force to be reckoned with.”
“Perhaps one day,” Cain said. A second beer?
As Cain left to get another drink, Caleb continued, “I thought you’d never ask.
But as Caleb took out his phone, he saw a text from an unknown sender.
The simple text message read, “Update?”
Whoever sent the text remains unknown, but Caleb appeared untrustworthy as he slid his phone back into his pocket.
To meet Charity and Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) for a drink, Caleb, Cain, and Moira (Natalie J. Robb) went to The Woolpack.
Charity continued by saying that she and Mack had decided on a time for their wedding.
Social media has been used by fans to discuss the upcoming plot line.
Many people appear to believe that when Cain was riding in Caleb’s car with Charity Dingle, he revealed his brother’s identity (Emma Atkins)
Regarding who Caleb was on the phone with, others have offered their theories.
“Caleb is going to trip up and Cain will realize something is wrong,” Margery Orpe wrote on a Facebook fan page.
In response, Marie Dawson “Absolutely agree. I believe Cain may have already discovered something in Caleb’s car the previous evening. Funny how he wanted to make friends while driving alone.” (sic)
Davi Wood continued, saying: “Absolutely concur! Because of his stubborn nature, Cain would never alter THAT much!” (sic)
User @1stLadyHooligan questioned, “Is Moira in on whatever TF Cain is up to with Caleb I sure as hell didn’t expect to see Moira making up with Chas.”
Furthermore, @realgmg67 added: “Cain is aware of Caleb’s actions! #Emmerdale.”
According to @BovaryCee’s tweets, some fans think Caleb is collaborating with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) “He must be employed by someone who wants to exact revenge on Cain. I would adore Joe Tate to make a comeback. #Emmerdale.”
“I think Caleb is working with Joe Tate, both out to get Cain & Kim,” claimed Kim Ellis. (sic)
