On Wednesday’s episode of Emmerdale, Charity Dingle received a call that left her speechless, but viewers do not believe it has anything to do with Mackenzie Boyd’s sinister secret.

During the most recent episode of the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins), left viewers frantically wanting to know who she was on the phone with. When she ended the call, the stalwart of the popular soap appeared to have had her world turned inside out. Some viewers of soap operas think they know why her rapist Detective Inspector Mark Bails (Rocky Marshall) is no longer behind bars.

When Charity’s phone rang, she was sewing a mobile for Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) unborn kid in the living room of the house she shares with her lover Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb).

A surprised Charity asked, “Are you sure?” as the chapter came to an abrupt stop.

Whatever she was told, she appeared genuinely upset, but who was she speaking to and what information were they breaking to her?

Viewers of Emmerdale are aware that Mack had an affair with Chloe and that her unborn child is genuinely his.

Many believe the phone call was actually related to Charity’s rapist Mark and had nothing to do with Mack’s one-night stand.

Wonder what Charity’s phone call on #Emmerdale was, tweeted @TwellyWatcher. Maybe Zoe, her ex, is dead or in trouble, or maybe Bails just got out of jail? numerous hypotheses

“That reply strikes Bail with me #Emmerdale,” Charlie continued.

L continued, “It’s a really bad idea to wreck a good thing, keep it in the past where it belongs if they’re dragging Bail back into Charity’s circle while she is mired in her poisonous schoolboy romance.

“Mack is nothing but a t**t #emmerdale, and I do not want to watch him comfort her.”

Says Darren Hilbert “I sincerely hope that the Charity issue is not related to Bail’s passing. Since we first met Marcus one year ago (nearly to the day), the idea that Pierce died in prison seemed like a quick way to end his story. #Emmerdale.” (sic)

Author Shady Smith wrote: “Bails is more likely fleeing or facing an appeal. Why, if he is dead, would Charity be upset?”

Elizabeth Edwards revealed: “Ryan’s father is it #Emmerdale? He might have returned to Emmerdale to exact revenge on Charity.”

In a previous episode of Emmerdale, Mark played the former boss of Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton).

Longtime admirers, however, first saw the character when he detained Charity when he was just 14 years old.
Charity was a prostitute at the time and frequently had encounters with the inspector.

At first, Charity felt happy to be under the care of the police inspector, but things quickly became sour between them.

For months, he repeatedly assaulted Charity, pushing her to flee and call the police, which led to his wife divorcing him.

Ryan Stocks (James Moore), Charity’s kid, is Mark’s biological child and is aware of how wicked his father is.

Has Mack’s affair anything to do with the mysterious call, or may Mark have escaped from prison?
