After the most recent episode of the ITV soap opera, Emmerdale fans were left wondering if Sam Dingle would be able to avoid going to prison.
The police knocked on Sam Dingle’s (James Hooton) door during Friday’s Emmerdale episode, but Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) wasn’t home.

Sam was questioned about the death of rapist Craig Reed (Ben Addis), who was discovered dead in a field near Home Farm a few days prior.
Sam had vowed to his family not to acknowledge attacking Craig, but as the police questioned him, he became frightened.

While he assured the cops that he did not kill the disgusting rapist, the beloved soap star admitted to beating Craig up out of rage.

He clarified After the beating, Craig was left with bruises and was unsure of how he died.

But much to the horror of his family member Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), he was soon arrested on suspicion of murder.

Fans of Emmerdale will be aware that Craig’s death was caused by Kim Tate’s (Claire King) white horse, which kicked him while she was riding.

Kim was instructed not to tell anyone about Craig’s passing by Cain, who was present at the scene as he lay dead on the grass.

Will Cain let Sam get away with it or will he come clean to the police and tell them what the horse did to Craig?

After the cliffhanger ending, fans of Emmerdale took to X, formerly known as Twitter, where they were all saying the same thing.

“Have the cops noticed the massive hoof print on Craig’s face?” wrote Craig Barker. Or do they believe that Sam’s hands resemble a horseshoe? #Emmerdale.”

Shaila said: “Surely they have to see the impact from the horse on his body or are the writers dumb #emmerdale?”

Jehan added: “I really hope the horse killed Craig and someone else didn’t finish Craig off or Sam could be right in the s**t unless Cain tells the cops what happened or takes the blame.”

Another quipped to their followers: “Free Sammy. Arrest the Horse.”
A fifth viewer wrote: “Is the horse ever going to be arrested #Emmerdale?”
