With EastEnders rumored to be showing a storyline this Christmas centered on an explosive device, viewers have begun to speculate if Aaron Monroe (Charlie Wernham) will be involved.

Since showing up in the Square last week, the newcomer has made quite an impression on several Walford residents, but it’s suspected that he’s not the wonderful guy he claims to be.

After receiving a mystery phone call, he cut his date with Tiffany Butcher (Maisie Smith) short for the second time on Tuesday’s (October 26) episode of the BBC One soap.

Aaron claimed that he was needed at work, but the episode’s last scene revealed that his quick escape was due to something else entirely, as he returned home covered in blood.

Hiding his wounds from dad Harvey (Ross Boatman), Aaron swiftly washed his hands in the kitchen sink.

Fans have begun to speculate that EastEnders may run a storyline centered on an explosive device this Christmas.

It’s unclear who he assaulted or what happened that night, but the surprising news has prompted some fans to suspect that Aaron could be engaged in an upcoming subplot involving an explosive, which early sources suggested could be a terrorist strike.

‘I believe Aaron was a member of an extremist group alongside Harvey,’ one concerned viewer remarked.

‘This might pave the way for the Christmas bomb threat scenario.’

I couldn’t help but wonder whether Aaron Monroe (Charlie Wernham) was involved.

<blockquote class=”twitter-tweet”><p lang=”en” dir=”ltr”>I wander who Aaron attacked? Also who is Gemma. Something very off about Aaron that&#39;s for sure. 😬😬<a href=”https://twitter.com/hashtag/EastEnders?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>#EastEnders</a></p>&mdash; Ryan Glendenning (@RyanGTweetsTV) <a href=”https://twitter.com/RyanGTweetsTV/status/1453071934225272836?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>October 26, 2021</a></blockquote> <script async src=”https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js” charset=”utf-8″></script>

Another added: ‘i swear if Aaron’s the one behind the terrorist attack and he frames bobby.’

It’s unclear whether Aaron will be involved in the Christmas storyline, but it’s safe to presume he’s not the man everyone thinks he is.

What exactly is concealing?
