Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) has lived most of her life without her mother Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit), who is said to have abandoned her when Lola was just three years old. However, EastEnders exposed the tragic reality behind her abduction tonight.
In January, after Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) located Emma, she waltzed back into Lola’s life.
Since then, Emma has made appointments with her at the salon while posing as someone else in an effort to learn more about her long-lost daughter.
After receiving a brain tumor diagnosis last year, Emma realized that Lola didn’t have much time left to live and made the decision to covertly post money through her door, making Lola fear she had a stalker.

It was terrible when Emma finally revealed the real reason why she left tonight.
She explained to Lola that although she hadn’t wanted to go, one night Lola’s father had thrown a saucepan of boiling water over her, leaving her with burns and forcing her to spend months in the hospital.
She admitted that after being discharged from the hospital, she went back to see Lola but discovered that they had left.
She said that her dad had never harmed anyone and that everyone liked him, but Lola first didn’t believe her.
Lola was forced to believe Emma after she showed her the scars she still possessed.
Lola halted Emma in her tracks as she started to leave, adamant that she wanted to reconnect with her mother.
Before it’s too late, will Emma be able to make up for lost time?
