Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) has been going through hell in EastEnders for the past few months, but in the coming episodes she disappears from the face of the earth — something that makes Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) and Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) extremely worried — and the latter thinks the young woman has fled!
Viewers saw Sonia do her hardest to reassure Whitney earlier this week when she urged her to get back to some degree of normality. But Whitney soon discovered that Michaela (Fiona Allen) had written online about her, and she was shocked when she saw the post. Max opened up to her about the time he spent in prison, and — later — Whitney decided that it was time to take the matter into her own hands, and her intention was clear as she took her passport.
However, she quickly decided not to go on the run and disposed of her farewell letters, but Michaela quickly appeared with a knife to her throat. Whitney is nowhere to be seen in the next episodes, and Gray starts to worry.
In the meantime, Sonia discovers one of her letters and thinks that she’s fled. Things get worse as Gray’s boss Laura comes for a meeting with Whitney and is forced to cover up. The question is: are they going to learn the truth about Whitney’s whereabouts? Where did she go?
