Whitney Dean is currently facing a prolonged prison period in EastEnders for the murder of stalker Leo King, following her self-defense acts when he attempted to kill her. And now Gray Atkins, the solicitor who was meant to represent her, has been fired from his role. So what's Whitney up to now? Are there any more bad news ahead?

With Gray feeling the pressure after the bail hearing, his temper is short, and he's trying to hide the fact that he's lost his job, and he's telling Chantelle not to tell her family what happened. She is, as ever, the one bearing the brunt of his violent temper, but she attempts to smooth things out by suggesting that he takes on the case of Whitney. With Gray hesitant to speak to Whitney after learning that his firm has abandoned her lawsuit, he finally does this because he feels trying to support Whitney's case might be a way to win back his career–but will she consider his help after being so badly let down?

Despite Whitney feeling lost and alone in the prospect of spending years in prison, her expectations for justice are not strong, but can Gray keep her calm with everything and start building a good case for her?
With Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) later finding out that Gray has lost his job and previously warned Chantelle about him, Gray snaps and claims that Chantelle has told her family and insulted him. But when Mitch makes peace, Gray knows that Chantelle didn't do anything like that–but she's busy healing from another brutal attack at home.

With both Chantelle and Whitney's fates in their pockets, is Gray about to create another storm of destruction?
