EXCLUSIVE: Since the plot of “The Six” was revealed in February and a flash-forward revealed there would be a Christmas murder, EastEnders has been teasing fans.
Executive producer Chris Clenshaw of EastEnders explained how a plot point pertaining to Walford’s “Six” was altered. The BBC soap opera’s long-running storyline and the planning that went into it were revealed by the showrunner during an interview with Express.co.uk and other media outlets.

The scene in question was a clip from a Christmas Day scene that featured Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), and Sharon Watts (played by Letitia Dean) standing in The Vic and staring at the floor before Sharon announces, “He’s dead.”

One noteworthy aspect is that the women have been wearing a lot of their designated colors throughout the year, and Sharon is among them all wearing unique dresses. Chris responded to a question concerning the colors in an intriguing way.

“They truly are their colors, after all. He started, “Linda’s always wearing pink, like.”

“It was suggested at one point during our very first meeting, which was in October of last year, that they should all wear various tones of red.

“But then it just didn’t feel right for various reasons and we didn’t land on that, we went with individual colours that suit their characters.”

Sharon’s white wedding dress steals the show, and Suki’s bright blue dress is equally striking on Stacey.

Kathy is rocking a dark purple, Denise is a striking green, and Linda is dressed in her trademark pink.

The teaser plot’s colors have become one of the most noticeable aspects, and it’s difficult for fans to envision anything else.

Chris said, “I think the best bit is it’s created a big game for them [fans] to join in and it’s created a kind of community among the fans,” in response to a question regarding the reaction to the massive plot.

“To see them kind of engaged in it as much as we’d hoped for – we couldn’t ask for more, we’re really overwhelmed by it.”

He continued by describing the extent to which the preparation for C
“I believe it all began more than 18 months ago… We shot the flash-forward during January’s first week back after Christmas, but it was clearly planned months in advance,” he said.

“So [it’s been] a hell of a long time and it was weird having meetings before last Christmas about this Christmas!”Christmas 2023 took place.
