EastEnders favourite Lola Pearce sadly died of a brain tumour earlier this year in one of the soap’s most memorable storylines of 2023.

Following the devastating moments in which her character Lola Pearce died from a brain tumour, Danielle Harold, a star of EastEnders, left the BBC soap opera earlier this year. The actress did, however, disclose that she would be making an unexpected cameo in the Christmas storyline of the serial opera.

After a terrifying fight with cancer, Lola passed away in May, much to the sadness of the show’s viewers. Although her friends and family are preparing for their first Christmas without her, it looks like they will be taken aback when Danielle reveals her character will be “back on screens” during the holidays.

With a recent appearance on the most recent episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, the 31-year-old revealed very little about her return to EastEnders during her appearance on Tuesday’s Loose Women.

“So you guys really lived it up afterwards, that’s the fun bit, isn’t it?” Referring to Danielle and her co-stars on I’m A Celebrity, host Charlene White questioned.

Additionally, she couldn’t resist addressing rumors of Danielle’s romantic history, saying, “And there are all these little rumours about you and Pete Wicks…”

Turning to co-star Coleen Nolan, Charlene added: “You’ve been texting him about it, haven’t you, Col?”

“I have been, yes, yes – and he’s not replied to me yet,” she admitted.

Laughing, Danielle explained: “No, we’ve been laughing so much, bless him.

“Because you come out and all your friends and family are there but no, me and Pete are just good friends, have been for years.”

She went on: “But we had a giggle about it, we had such a laugh about it.”

“I did mention earlier that actually you’re going to be back in EastEnders despite the fact that Lola was killed off…” Charlene said.

“How in the world? Will the plot be one of those ‘it’s all a dream’ kinds?”

“It feels a bit like a dream to me today!” “It’s only when your team said, ‘Oh, they’ve released that you’re in EastEnders at Christmas,’” Danielle said with a jest.

“I was like, ‘Oh yeah!’ I’ve been keeping all these secrets.

“I can’t wait to see her back on screen, especially around Christmas, so I’m very excited!”

“Are you allowed to say how it happened?” Charlene proved hopefully.

However, the actress remained tight-lipped, explaining: “No I don’t think I can say how – sorry!
