celebrity of Coronation Street Sam Robertson debuted as Adam Barlow in 2004 and made the most of his role as a soap opera celebrity by getting married to many of the show’s fans.
Sam Robertson acknowledged that during his first season on Coronation Street, he had slept with groupies.
In 2004, the 38-year-old actor assumed the role of Adam Barlow, succeeding Iain De Caestecker in the role. Before leaving the ITV serial opera in 2007, he starred in it for three years.
Sam returned to play the grandson of Ken Barlow (Bill Roache) over ten years later, and he has been on the Cobbles ever since. Sam embraced being a soap opera star to the fullest when he initially got the part.
The fans were “nice but kind of odd,” Sam recalled, recalling the “groupies” that would wait around outside the set of Corrie. He remembered having some of these followers call him “Adam” when he was in bed.
Sam acknowledged that he had a great time back then, even though he called some of the situations “weird”. “I would go to nightclubs and there were always loads of dolly birds hanging around looking for fun – and I had lots of fun,” the celebrity had previously revealed.
“But girls still called me Adam half the time,” the Beaver Falls star said. When the female calls out your character’s name in bed, it’s strange. However, it’s also a simple pretext to cast them out into the street and avoid having to pay for supper.”
In 2016, Adam went back to Weatherfield and was married to Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien). When Sarah had an affair with Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths) last year, their relationship ended.
Around Christmas, it appeared as though the two might get back together, but Damon came back, and Sarah decided to stay with him. Ever since, Adam has been hatching plans to get rid of Damon.
Now that Damon’s villainous brother Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) is incarcerated for the murder of Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac), Adam has struck a deal with him. The drug lord promised to permanently remove Damon in return for helping Harvey get out of jail.
He asserted that blaming someone else for Natasha’s death is the only way to get him out of jail. Afterwards, Harvey gave Adam a call to inform him that a man named John Perry is prepared to confess. Adam was shocked to learn that John had cancer when he finally located him.
