After five years together, actor Alan Halsall, who portrays Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV serial opera Coronation Street, is said to have broken up with co-star Tisha Merry, who played waitress Steph Britton on the Cobbles.

Stars of Corrie Alan Halsall and Tisha Merry have reportedly broken up after opting to go their own ways at the start of the year. The ITV soap opera set was where the performers first connected, and they dated for five years.

“Alan and Tisha had a lot of love for each other and really similar interests, enjoying socializing and going on holiday together,” an insider told The Sun.

Alan Halsall and Tisha Merry, who co-star on Coronation Street, “split after pressure on couple.”

However, they began to drift apart and were overwhelmed by the responsibility to keep their love going. When they realized they couldn’t agree on anything, they decided to part ways.

They have been encircling themselves with their own group and concentrating on themselves. About a month ago, Tisha left Alan’s house and is now devoting herself to her profession.

While Tisha, 30, spent five years as Steph Britton, a waitress on the Cobbles, Alan, 41, has delighted fans of Coronation Street as mechanic Tyrone Dobbs for 26 years.

In Corrie, Alan Halsall portrays Tyrone Dobbs.

Tisha has fueled rumors of a breakup by removing pictures of Alan from her Instagram profile.

The Tyrone Dobbs actor named his 10-year-old daughter Sienna “My Valentine’s” in the meanwhile.

However, Tisha, who is now appearing in the BBC serial opera Doctors, did not bring up Alan in her mysterious Valentine’s Day tweet last week about “fears and insecurities.”

With his 40-year-old ex-wife Lucy-Jo Hudson, a former Hollyoaks and Corrie actress, Alan has a daughter.

Along with his former co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson on Corrie, Alan Halsall is parents to a girl.

The soap opera stars wed in 2009 and separated in 2018. Tisha and Alan began dating shortly after her departure from Corrie in 2019.

They advanced their romance when she moved into Alan’s house in Worsley, Greater Manchester.

Regarding their transformation from friends into a love partnership, she stated to OK Magazine in 2020, “It’s nice we built a strong foundation before anything romantic.”
