Coronation Street spoilers: David Platt finds child porn on son Max’s phone

David Platt is about to get the shock of his life on Coronation Street when he comes across intimate footage and photographs of teenager Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) on Max’s phone and to make sure he warns Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) of what his daughter is actually going through.

Asha shared footage of herself with Corey online, unaware that he filmed it without her consent, and spiteful Kelly Neelan then shared pictures she found of Asha’s peers. Asha was left crushed but kept her ordeal a secret from her dad while she was privately agonizing about the shattering situation.

And things get worse when Asha is presented with a link to a porn site where her video has been posted and is widely shared. As she breaks down and doesn’t know what to do, the bullying of her steps up, and some taunts lead her brother Aadi (Adam Hussain) to lash out and clash with a boy who makes disparaging remarks.

When the images continue to spread, David is shocked at what he finds on Max’s phone and believes Dev, who is shocked. Asha admits to him what’s going on, but begs him not to go to the police or the school.

Initially, he agrees, but when Aadi tells his dad that the video is on the internet, not just in private group chats, Dev is incensed and goes to the police to complain about the filming and distribution of the footage. Asha is gutted to her dad as he goes back to his word – did he do the right thing? Or is Asha going to believe like her situation is much worse now?
