Damon Hay, a notorious character from Coronation Street, has been pressuring Nick Tilsley to use his restaurant as a front for his drug peddling enterprise.
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), despite her best efforts to keep it a secret, recently learned what Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) had their family involved in. A gun siege threatens their future, and becoming engaged with Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) will have disastrous repercussions, according to official spoilers.

Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) participated in a restorative justice program last year to confront Harvey Gaskell, the man who killed his mother (Will Mellor).

His father Nick, who reluctantly consented to go because Harvey was initially planning to kill Leanne, joined Sam during the sessions.

Nick revealed during their meetings that he was having trouble coming up with the cash to purchase Debbie Webster’s other share of The Bistro (Sue Devaney).

The businessman accepted Harvey’s loan offer after considering it, but the hazardous move proved to be too much for him to bear.

Harvey’s brother Damon arrived in Weatherfield and announced that he wanted to get back in touch with his son Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan).

Instead, he expelled his son from the cobblestones and is now using the restaurant as a front for his drug operation, insisting that the money Harvey lent Nick was really his.

In subsequent scenes, Nick makes a call to Damon to ensure that the most recent drug delivery was made without incident.

Things change, though, when two masked assailants enter The Bistro and demand that Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) hand over the drugs while brandishing their weapons.

Leanne tells Nick he needs to get rid of the narcotics before a search is conducted after Craig informs her that they have detained two guys they believe to be the gunman.

After hearing Leanne, Nick warns Damon to pick up the drugs or he’ll flush them down the toilet since he doesn’t want to endanger his son any further.

Damon gets into his car and places the drug-filled holdall in the boot when all of a sudden, police sirens can be heard.

Will Damon be able to flee?

Later, when Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) phones the restaurant in search of Damon, Leanne tells that he has been detained on drug-dealing suspicions.

Will Damon abandon his plan and come clean about his actions?

He might accuse Nick and shift the burden to him if he chooses to maintain his innocence and say that he has no knowledge of the drugs.

Sam might lose yet another parent.
