Exclusive: In a recent episode of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street, Daniel Osbourne nearly caught Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor at a hotel and provided context for Daisy’s predicament.
Iain MacLeod, the head of Coronation Street, has hinted that when Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) find out about her affair with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), things will undoubtedly get messy.
Official spoilers indicate that while Daisy tries her hardest to look excited, Daniel talks endlessly about their impending house move in upcoming scenes.
Before she signs anything and does more harm than she has already done, Jenny Connor (Sally-Anne Matthews) advises her to carefully consider what she wants.
In another scene, Ryan gets a message from Crystal Hyde (Erin Austen) apologizing for watching his livestream, which makes him happy.
Will Ryan agree when she soon suggests they grab a drink? Considering that Daisy rejected him at the hotel, can he move past his feelings for her?
After making his choice, Ryan says he will see Crystal again later, but Allison King’s Carla Connor cautions him that she is trouble.
But Chris Gascoyne’s character Peter Barlow tells him he’s happy because it might prevent him from meddling in Daisy and Daniel’s relationship.
Will Crystal be the one to put an end to the affair or bring them closer together?
In a recent interview with Express.co.uk and other media, Corrie’s head, Iain MacLeod, hinted that when the affair is revealed, Daisy and Daniel’s relationship would collapse.
He gave an explanation, saying, “I think it’s really unusual that I love this love triangle and that I switch every week between being team Ryan and Daisy and team Daniel and Daisy.
“I completely understand Daisy’s feelings for Daniel, their origins, and the depth of those feelings because it has all been so organic from the beginning.
“However, I also recognize how deeply Ryan has affected me, and I am genuinely unsure of who I am rooting for because I am torn between two different allegiances.
“But let’s just say that things end up in a real bind, and Daisy’s feelings for Ryan can’t remain hidden for long, so Daniel eventually learns about what’s going on between these two, their feelings for one another, and the betrayals they’ve committed behind his back.
“There are a lot of tense sequences where Daniel starts to put all the pieces together, but in the end, it all comes crashing down, and some big dilemmas for Daisy.”
