Another fan wrote: ‘Well done. I love their faces. Great – it produces the sensation.’ It is not the first time the heartthrob in Summer Bay has played on the television.

Last year, the long-running Channel Seven drama launched the first nine-year gay storyline when Darius Williams (played by Ty Anderson) misjudged his heterosexual relationship with Ryder and kissed him accidentally.

Steamy-Steamy! The character of Lukas pretends to be enjoying a female friend’s company on a camping trip but he develops feelings for the other man privately. Then the two men share a tender kiss before they begin their journey like nothing happened

Lukas told Digital Spy at the time that he had “like every other plot” handled the gay kissing scene. ‘Nearly every two weeks, we’ve been given new storylines, and I’ve just handled it like something else and everyone in the company has done and, we’ve just worked as if it was another storyline,’ he added.

This, remember? Last year, the long-running Channel Seven drama launched the first gay storyline in nine years, when Darius Williams (played by Ty Anderson, right) misjudged his relationship with Ryder Jackson (played by Lukas, left), who’s single, and kissed him spontaneously.

‘We went through a few rehearsals on an actual day without kissing and then we ended up filming the embrace in the end. So we just handled it like any other scene.’ Meanwhile, the Sydney pair, speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, revealed the idea to include the Home and Away star was originally the idea of their producer.

‘We couldn’t have done it without her, really. On the day of shooting, we all met each other and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome,’ the Yuma X gushed out.

‘Early in the process, I cast Lukas (Radovich), and he came to my apartment and we sat down and wrote the script together,’ Maddy King explained.

She added: ‘We shot the studio scenes the day after the Mardi Gras parade which felt really perfect, the energy on set was magical.’
