The most gifted actors of this age may be found in Hollywood, and several of them got their start on the Australian serial series Home and Away.

Chris Hemsworth was a series regular on Home and Away before he made a name for himself in Hollywood.

Before leaving the serial opera in 2007, he acted as Kim Hyde for three years starting in 2004.

The 39-year-old actor said on Nova FM that he owes everything he does to the soap opera that launched his acting career: “I loved Home and Away.”

Chris gained international fame after leaving the drama when he was cast as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a role that later placed him among the highest-paid actors in the world.

Star Trek, Rush, and Snow White and the Huntsman are just a few of his past performing roles.

The Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth, Chris’ younger brother, continued in his footsteps by making guest appearances on the programme in 2007.

The actor, his wife Elsa Pataky, and their three children all reside in Byron Bay.

Deborah George

Melissa George, an actress and model, had her acting debut in 1993 when she was cast as Angel Parrish on the television series Home and Away.

In 1996, the 46-year-old blonde beauty quit her job and relocated to the US in quest of Hollywood.

After starring in Derailed, 30 Days of Night, Triangle, and A Lonely Place to Die, she started to excel in the thriller genre after appearing in the critically acclaimed smash Mulholland Drive.

The actress achieved great success on television, making appearances on popular programmes including Friends, Charmed, and Alias.

She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her depiction of Laura Hill in the In Treatment drama on HBO.

She and her ex-husband, Jean David Blanc, had two sons together.

Pearce, Guy

Guy Pearce has been acting since the 1980s and rose to fame in Australia as a result of his appearances in Neighbours and Home and Away.

After spending three years on Neighbours, Guy went to its rival soap in 1991, where he spent six weeks as Sophie Simpson’s love interest, David Croft.

who later enjoyed success as an actor both in Australia and abroad, appearing in blockbuster movies like Iron Man 3, Mary Queen of Scots, and L.A. Confidential.

For his performance as Monty Beragon in Mildred Pierce, he won a for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie.

Ingrid Fisher

Isla Fisher had her first appearance as Shannon Reed in 1994 before making it to Hollywood.

The 49-year-old actress stayed on the serial for three years before her character moved to Paris with her love interest Mandy Thomas to start a new life.

Isla’s career flourished after saying farewell to Summer Bay, and she went on to appear in a large number of well-known films.

These include Confessions of a Shopaholic, Definitely, Maybe, and Wedding Crashers.

Isla and comedian Sacha Baron Cohen have been married since 2010 and have three kids together.

Ledger, Heath

As the bad boy Scott Irwin on the 1997 television series Home and Away, beloved actor Heath Ledger launched his career.

The actor obtained a leading role in the classic teen rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You with Julia Stiles after relocating to the US to advance his career.

He then rose to fame as a leading guy in Hollywood, making appearances in movies including Brokeback Mountain and A Knight’s Tale.

For his role as The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, the Australian actor won praise from critics.

Sadly, Heath passed away in 2008 at the age of just 28 from an accidental drug overdose.

He received an Oscar for his portrayal of the recognisable villain in the Batman sequel a few months after his passing.

Before getting pregnant with Michelle Williams, his co-star from Home and Away, he dated Naomi Watts.

Nicola Watts

At the start of her career, English actress Naomi Watts starred in Home and Away.

She briefly portrayed Julie Gibson in 1991 before relocating to the US to advance her career.

Despite her early difficulties, she eventually succeeded after being cast in the 2001 psychological thriller Mulholland Drive.

With significant roles in I Heart Huckabees, King Kong, and the worldwide, her career continued to expand.

Alongside Tom Holland and Ewan McGreggor, Naomi, 54, received an Oscar nomination for her performances in the disaster movies The Impossible and the psychological thriller 21 Grams.

She started dating American actor Liev Schreiber following the breakup with Heath Ledger.

After 11 years of marriage, the couple announced their separation in 2011. They have two sons.

John Bracey

Luke Bracey made his television debut in the 2009–2010 season of Home and Away as Trey Palmer.

The Best of Me, starring James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan, gave the 33-year-old his big break after that.

Later, he appeared with Emma Roberts in The Holidate on Netflix and the war drama Hacksaw Ridge as FBI Agent Johnny Uta.
