Fans of Coronation Street will see Shona Ramsey on their television very soon, after news of her return to the ITV soap.
Actress Julia Goulding is back on stage recording after taking maternity leave in November last year following the birth of her baby son.
Her character left the show after a shocking new storyline in January in the aftermath of the Christmas siege.
But her impending comeback has now been confirmed by both Corrie and Julia, which could be just weeks away.
Revealing that she is shooting now, it means that her comeback scenes could be 5 to 6 weeks away from screening.
Sharing a post on their official Twitter, Coronation Street said: Do you know who is back this week filming with us? We missed you @juliagoulding." The post was a video of Shona star Julia announcing that she was back on the set, leaving viewers delighted.
She said: "Hey everybody, maybe you wonder why I'm wearing my warm coat on Coronation Street, it's cos Shona's back.
Viewers rushed to reply on the post who were happy to see Shona return soon. One fan said: "Oh, what great news! Good to see her!" Another tweeted: "Ahhhh, she's there, and she looks fabulous!! Can't wait to see Julia back on the show I love her.
Others asked what the expected return could mean for the character and David after suffering significant memory loss after being fired on Christmas Day. Shona was left in a coma because of complications from her injuries, and when she woke up, she forgot David.
But will her condition going to improve before she comes back, or is there a long way ahead?
