The final episode of Neighbours will air on Channel 5 at primetime.

Originally scheduled to air on Monday, August 1, the show’s finale will now air in the UK on Friday, July 29.

The third-to-last Neighbours episode will air on that day at the customary 1.45 and 6 o’clock timeslots, according to Channel 5 executives.

The major climax will follow, airing as a double episode special at 9 o’clock that same evening.

In Australia, the Neighbours season finale has also been postponed.

The final episodes will be broadcast in a 90-minute block on Thursday, July 28 at 7.30 p.m. on Channel 10 and 10 Peach, according to the show’s home network Channel 10.

As a result, Australian viewers will be able to watch the finale before UK viewers.

All year long, Channel 5 has aired programs before Australia, but 10 Peach has now started to catch up by airing double episodes.

“In what is set to be a gripping and emotional finale, fan favorites from the past will be returning to Ramsay Street to celebrate with our Erinsborough locals, in a send-off that will have something for everyone, spanning all generations and decades from the opening scene in 1985 to the final episode in 2022,” teased Channel 5 in a statement.

“Further announcements concerning extra surprises to send farewell the famous soap in style will be forthcoming in the upcoming weeks,” the statement continued.

Neighbours last aired in primetime in 2020, with a week of post-watershed specials on Channel 5 for the 30th anniversary.
