Felicity and Mackenzie are preparing for their greatest poker night yet, with a buy-in of $5000 per person and a waiting list. Mackenzie might be debt-free in no time, especially now that the nights are gaining a reputation! Ryder wants to be a dealer, but Mack isn’t willing to take a chance on someone who hasn’t dealt before.

Preparations are in full swing when the gathering is interrupted by an unpleasant visitor: Nathan shows up in Salt during regular service. Mackenzie is worried and sends Ryder to get rid of him, but he returns, telling her that she should listen to Nathan since he has a large sum of money for her.

Mackenzie is relieved to discover that her prior kindness to Nathan has paid off handsomely. She rushes to pay the past-due rent, but she soon discovers Nathan’s cash came with a stipulation. Later, he shows up with PK, a friend who is eager to be invited to the next poker night. Mackenzie apologises, explaining that there is a waiting list and that guests must first be screened.

Nathan, on the other hand, says he knows PK and asks Mack to let him in as a favour. When PK notices Mackenzie standing firm, he decides to alter tactics. He claims he’ll pay his way in, and all she has to do now is choose the price. Mackenzie strikes a deal with him and joyfully returns to Felicity, announcing that a player must be removed off the roster for that night.

Felicity is sceptical right away, claiming that the nights are run on respect and that sending someone out at the last minute is bad form. To be more specific, who is PK? Mackenzie, on the other hand, is confident in her decision and instructs Felicity to fire someone. Is Mackenzie on the verge of resolving her debt problem, or is she on the verge of getting herself into serious trouble?
