Taking to Twitter after the news broke, Rebecca expressed her enthusiasm by writing "Thank you for the role of a lifetime. Luke also enjoyed his own success, with roles in S.H.I.E.L.D Agents, Blindspot and The Code.

Rebecca and Luke started dating in 2009 before the actor raised the topic in 2012.
The pair later tied the knot in a spectacular ceremony held in Kangaroo Valley in New South Wales in 2013.
" What helps make it so special is another element of Home And Away," Luke told TV Week of meeting Rebecca on set.
" We certainly spent most of our friendship on the show, and we were engaged when I finally finished, and then we got engaged, and instead, we moved abroad."
