After getting Chloe Harris pregnant, Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd betrayed his future wife Charity Dingle.
In Thursday night’s ITV episode, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) questioned her husband-to-be about

whether he wanted to be a father, leaving Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) fuming. After Charity unintentionally knocked Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland), who was pregnant, to the ground, the couple got into a fight during their joint hen and stag outing. She was suspicious when Mack hurried to be by Chloe’s side, though. The proprietor of the pub began to wonder if Mack actually wanted to be a father after all.

“It was just a misunderstanding,” Mack insisted. “Moira is convinced that I am desperate for a kid of my own.”

“And are you?” a heartbroken Charity asked before Mack told her: “No!”

Mack explained he was happy with the situation they were in, however, Charity didn’t seem to buy it.

Charity went on to admit that she didn’t shut down the idea of having another baby.

“We never talked about it again so I assumed it had gone away,” she said.

“Don’t lie to me, I need to know where you’re at, where we’re at.

“I have no burning desire to be a mum right now as I already have four kids and they are way more than I can cope with.

“And I can’t bear the thought of losing another baby.”

“This is Moira making a big deal of nothing,” Mack argued.

When Charity questioned where it came from, he continued: “I told her she had got it wrong,

“it is not an issue, not for me.”

Following the episode, fans took to social media in droves to share their thoughts on Mack and Charity’s storyline.

One eagle-eyed fans through out the bold theory that Charity will get pregnant again, but will betray Mackenzie by having an abortion after his betrayal with Chloe.

Theorising on the twist, Twitter user @Dbella91 wrote: “I think charity is going to end up pregnant before finding out about Mack’s infidelity, heads to abortion clinic and he tries to stop her #Emmerdale.”

Responding, Matthew Chapman wrote: “Been there done that as Charity miscarried last year!”

@Dbella91 replied: “Yes miscarried didn’t have an abortion! Twist of fate to be pregnant again.”

There were mixed opinions from other fans, with @itzzzo_ wondering: “Why didn’t they have Charity go back out just as Sarah was saying she can’t lie to her? ‘Woo-hoo, what was that?!’ #Emmerdale.”

@itzzzo_ shared: “Oh Charity more of a chance of there being a good episode than Mack who is all of sudden claiming he isn’t parental being genuine. #Emmerdale.”

Raven_M0rrigan predicted: “Charity is gonna find out soon….surely!!?? #emmerdale.”
