In the wake of the death of Dennis Rickman (Bleu Landau), a brand new EastEnders teaser for next week revealed a fight between Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt). Dennis was left dead after Ian tried to rescue him from the flood area in which he had been trapped in. They have been separated in the Thames, and Dennis has not survived–and Sharon is left broken and continues to blame herself for the misfortune of losing her son.
Scenes see her falling apart, and see Ian being consumed with guilt–and Sharon demands to know at one point what her friend is hiding.

But is a broken Ian going to crack out and reveal the truth about his involvement in the death of Dennis? Or is he going to engage in a cover-up? Meanwhile, it is shown that Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) arrived at the warehouse where Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) left Callum Highway (Tony Clay) trapped. Will Ben be able to find Callum in time, as he gets colder and weaker?

Or is it too late? Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), meanwhile, is shown in prison after claiming to authorities that she killed Leo King (Tom Wells). She receives help from lawyer Gray Atkins (Toby Alexander-Smith) as she sits in a cell, who warns her that she may spend years in prison. Gray will be frustrated when he discovers that Whitney has omitted valuable information about Leo's death night-including the fact that she called Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) to support her. As she looks suspicious, will Gray continue to support her if he thinks she's responsible for the crime? The action continues throughout the next week, as emotions run high and secrets continue to tear apart lives.
