The anniversary of the passing of her son and Linda’s ongoing grief will be on EastEnders stalwart Sharon Watts’ mind next week.

The Queen Vic pub, a stalwart EastEnders landmark, has always held a special place in Sharon’s heart (played by Letitia Dean). She had ownership again up until a few years ago after her family had owned it for a considerable amount of time. On the BBC soap, Sharon makes a life-altering choice as she struggles to help a grieving Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) get through Valentine’s Day without Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) the following week.

The Vic was last formally owned by Mick, and Linda has been managing it ever since he is said to have passed away.

Mick’s one-day wife Janine, who is expected to serve a significant amount of time in prison, received his half of the business.

Later scenes show Linda attempting to survive her first Valentine’s Day apart from her true love.

As the anniversary of Denny’s (Bleu Landau) passing approaches, Sharon assists a grateful Linda in getting ready for the pub’s Valentine’s Day celebration. Sharon is trying to avoid thinking about her own grief at the time.

Linda tells Sharon that she received a call from the attorney confirming Janine still wants to sell Mick’s share of The Vic after a bad night.

The two go to the café to make plans, but it quickly becomes clear that Linda might have to downsize.

Later, out of a desire to support her friend, Sharon makes Linda an offer she can’t turn down.

Later, she proceeds with her plans to acquire Mick’s ownership stake in The Vic.

In an effort to regain her trust, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) overhears the conversations and suggests Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) as a potential buyer.

Her efforts come shortly after she assisted Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) in duping Suki into giving Vinny the deed to half of her real estate empire (Shiv Jalota).

Eve is devastated when Suki soon announces in The Vic that she and Nish will be renewing their vows of marriage.

While Sharon is assisting her friend, she used to enjoy being active in the well-known bar.

Fans may remember that Den Watts, played by Leslie Grantham, was once a well-known figure at The Vic.

It appears EastEnders history is repeating itself with Sharon once more involved in managing the bar.

Will the two women be able to support one another while they both experience a difficult day?

After a bitter argument between him and Janine, in which the latter ultimately drove her car off a cliff and into the sea, Linda tragically lost Mick around Christmas.

Mick jumped back into the perilous water after saving Janine to try to save Linda, but he never surfaced.

Since the landlord is currently thought to be dead, Linda has been at a loss as to what to do with the pub.

She’ll probably be more willing to stay at The Vic if Sharon is behind her.
