Back to the Bay! Luke Jacobz announces his return to Home and Away as police officer Angelo Rosetta after almost a decade

When his hero Angelo Rosetta shot and killed fellow cop Jack Holden, he played one of the hardest characters ever to exist in Summer Bay.

And now actor Luke Jacobz, almost a decade after leaving the show in June 2011, has announced his return to Home and Away.  

The 39-year-old told Sydney Confidential on Sunday that he was approached by Channel Seven producers in January requesting him to reprise his role.

Welcome to The Sea! Luke Jacobz, 39, (pictured) is set to return to Home and Away as police officer Angelo Rosetta called me in after nearly a decade ' [ Channel Seven executives ] and said ' How do you feel about Angelo returning to the sea? ' '' the actor said,

'I said 'very good' – and it was 'Okay, let's get a haircut, a fitting wardrobe and look at some scripts,' he was enthusiastic about it.

While it's not clear how long he'll be appearing on the show this time around, Luke confirmed that for' a good few months' Angelo will stay around the Bay.

A spokesperson from home and abroad said What's On TV:' It's been nearly a decade after his character Angelo Rosetta quit the Bay, and now he's back on the police force with everything to show.' After leaving Summer Bay the Logie winning star has been occupied with a number of high-profile roles including The X-Factor and Instant Hotel.

He also kissed her entrance into the hearts of Australia
