Nearly a decade has passed since we waved goodbye to Angelo Rosetta of Home and Away, when a familiar face appears back in town-but not everyone is welcome.

Alf (Ray Meagher) is confronted by a man he knows all too well while repairing a boat engine on the pier.
Alf is briefly taken aback by the sleek suit and confident demeanor of the man, but his identification is not mistaken: it is Angelo Rosetta, the retired officer, who left Summer Bay nine years ago

The couple share pleasantries but Angelo (Luke Jacobz) doesn’t have to meet up in town.
He is investigating the death of the body of Ross (Justin Wozniak), which was discovered in the outskirts of town, and is on the killer search.
He asks where he and his sister Bella (Courtney Miller) will locate Colby (Tim Franklin)-it ‘s urgent.

Angelo takes Alf by surprise as he returns to The Bay.

“This time around Angelo’s special,” Luke, 39, tells TV WEEK. “He has grown up a lot, so he’s no longer mucking around.
“He’s always wanted to be a policeman, but he gave up the uniform all those years back when he had the run-in with the River Boys. He and Nicole [Tessa James] broke up, and he concentrated on becoming a detective in the police.
“He doesn’t want to make friends-enough to get his guy there.”
Alf, still shocked by how Angelo has adapted, recommends the Colby police department as the closest location to search.
Angelo goes out to search him …

Angelo is seeking fellow cop Colby…

A few hours later the detective comes across Bella after becoming acquainted with Summer Bay and knows her as Ross’ daughter from the police archives.
He gives his condolences, pledging that he would hunt down whoever was responsible and give her family justice.
Angelo is gone before a shocked Bella can do something, which leaves the teen in a horror state. What is this going to get them out of?

Colby readies himself to greet Detective Rosetta with a heads-up from his dad. Once he does he confidently recounts the story he, Dean (Patrick O’Connor) and Bella dreamed up the night before and addresses all questions with ease.
Yet his stomach shakes …
“When he buried the body he had a scheme in motion in his mind,” Tim says. “It’s best to cover all of his bases, keep things right, alibis in order, and quiet people down so that he can navigate the prosecution and make it go down.”
How long will the dogged investigator be tricked by a suspect Colby-if he can trick him at all?
